Rush Canada Soccer Academy is starting its Summer Individual Training Program consisting of fifteen, one-hour sessions held at Mentor College (Mississauga) & Sheridan College (Oakville).
The training schedule will start with 2 generic training sessions to identify what skills players need to work on & the remaining 13 training sessions will be focused on those skills. These will be training sessions, not a scrimmage session, only committed players will be accepted to these sessions.
Players not taking these sessions serious will be ask NOT to return.
The Training Program will kick off the week of June 25th and will end on August 14th.
U6-U9: Emphasis: Fun, creativity and improving generic skills. We will look to build and improve on each player’s common foundation. Focus will be placed on generic skills (passing shooting, dribbling and feints). Finishing drills will end each training session.
U10-U13: Emphasis: increasing speed on receiving, passing, dribbling and shooting. We will look at working on timing and repetitiveness for each of the four soccer skill sets. More focus will be placed on each player mastering proper shielding and shooting techniques. The program will incorporate 8 strength and agility training sessions.
