OAKVILLE – We are pleased to announce that Rush Canada’s Michael Fiqueli has committed to the UW Warriors.
University of Waterloo is located in Waterloo, Ontario and the Warriors compete in the OUA.
Michael has been a very impactful player on our League 1 Reserve Team and has been a long standing member of Rush Canada Soccer Academy.
“Michael is a creative midfield player who will strengthen our midfield group and add depth to our competitive squad”, commented UW Head Coach Mark Worton.
“I am very excited to start my journey as a Waterloo Warrior and play under Coach Worton and his coaching staff. I look forward to working with the team, growing and helping Waterloo compete at the highest level. The Kinesiology program at Waterloo is very impressive, and alongside the state-of-the-art Warrior Fieldhouse. I cannot wait to begin my academic and sports career,” noted Fiqueli. “The University of Waterloo is the perfect place for me to grow both as a student and as an athlete. I am positive my university experience will be rewarding. Lastly, I want to thank all my coaches at Rush Canada as well as my family and friends who have always shown unbelievable support along the way”.
“The University really sells itself, we are attracting high quality players to our program and I’m looking forward to work with Michael,” concluded Worton.
