Rush Tanzania Sports Academy, one of Rush Soccer’s REACH clubs located in Tanzania, Africa sent over one of their Academy Directors, Hassan Kapilima, to visit the Titan House in Denver, Colorado. Kapilima arrived in Denver on November 6th and stayed until November 20th. His purpose was to link up with Rush Soccer and understand how Rush can assist his academy.
Dan Highstead, Rush Soccer’s REACH Director, connected Kapilima with Josh Tyler, Rush Soccer’s College Advisory Program (CAP) Director in order to educate him on how International CAP initiatives can help players at his club in Tanzania. Kapilima also learned more about the professional and scouting opportunities that Rush Soccer’s vast network provides.
While in Denver, Kapilima was able to spend time with the Colorado Rush coaching staff, allowing him to see the level of play of the Colorado Rush players and see firsthand how the Rush Way Philosophy is integrated into the training environment. Additionally, he got to sightsee around the Rocky Mountain region of Colorado in between trainings and games, as the schedule allowed.
As Kapilima’s stay at the Titan House neared its end, Highstead helped pack up a big bag of uniform donations that were sent back with him to help outfit the Rush Tanzania players for the season ahead. The players at Rush Tanzania Sports Academy are age 10-19, and are excited to wear the newly donated uniforms and sport the Rush ‘R’ in their local community.
Rush Soccer is grateful for the opportunity to share stories about the global spread of the Rush brand, and more importantly, the cool stories that unfold through all the relationships built along the way in the name football and a shared love for the game.
