OAKVILLE – Rush Canada Soccer Academy is pleased to announce that U16 OPDL player Patrick Aponowicz has signed with Toronto FC Academy.
Patrick joined Rush Academy in 2015, and has been with Rush for the last eight years. During his time here, Patrick was a regular on the Rush Select Team that travelled to Europe and he was scouted and selected twice to attend Tottenham’s Residential Program. Last year, Patrick was a part of the 2006 team that finished the 2021 OPDL Regular Season undefeated and in the fall he travelled to Denmark to attend a 10-day trial with Danish First Division Club, HB Køge. Today, Patrick is following in the footsteps of former Rush player, Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, who also joined Toronto FC Academy from Rush at a young age.
Rush Technical Director, Slobodan Pavlovic added, “I personally, along with the entire Rush organization, would like to wish you much success at Toronto FC. Your talent, combined with your development at Rush, and most importantly, your continued hard work with the Toronto FC Academy Coaching Staff will take you where you want to be as a soccer player. Stay focused and hungry to succeed, and it will come.”
Good luck at Toronto FC Academy Patrick!
