Alyssa Stephenson named to Jamaican U20 National Team for Concacaf Qualifiers

Rush Canada Congratulates Alyssa Stephenson on her selection announcement!

Alyssa Stephenson, a Rush Canada Alumni and member of the Northern Illinois University women’s soccer team has been named to Jamaica’s U20 National team for the Concacaf Under-20 Qualifiers in February 2025. 

In December of 2024, Alyssa was part of the Jamaican squad that won the “Jewels of the Caribbean” U20 Cup, scoring 3 goals including one in the final to help defeat the hosts Trinidad and Tobago, 2-1.

She did so well, they have now included her in their roster for the qualifiers! Jamaica has been drawn into Group D which includes Nicaragua, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. The tournament will be held February 20-25 in Managua, Nicaragua.

The winner of the group will advance to the Concacaf U-20 Women’s Championship in May.
