Only one week after their success at the Jaguar Invitational Tournament, the Rush Canada 2001 Girls placed first yet again in the Girls U18 Super Pro Group at the Umbro Top Rated Showcase – Canada’s Largest Showcase.

Our team is comprised of girls born in 2001, 2002, 2003 and even one 2004 girl. Throughout the showcase, the girls played very well against some of the top teams from the region, and they were able to finish the showcase with an undefeated record (one win and two draws), which was enough to secure first place in their group.

Coach Kornel said: “I am pleasantly surprised and proud of the results from this past weekend. I am very proud of the girls. We entered the team in the top flight against some of the best teams in Ontario. Our team is made up of quite a few younger players playing up a couple of age groups, but as always, our girls were hard working, disciplined, confident and positive. They worked extremely hard and displayed their ‘refuse to lose’ attitude yet again this weekend. Great job girls.”
