Yes, you are reading correctly. The Rush ‘R’ has arrived in Hong Kong. We are very excited to introduce the Hong Kong Rush to you and congratulate them for becoming the First Rush Partner in the “Heart of Asia”.
Rush Soccer is proud to announce the partnership with the newly formed Hong Kong Rush Ltd. Mr. Steve Wang, Executive Director of Hong Kong Rush, signed the Licensing & Services Agreement last week to officially establish the 72nd Rush Club around the globe.
Executive Director Steve Wang says – “It’s great to have the partnership established with the Rush organization. Rush is the largest youth soccer club in the world and has established a connected global network. The club has an elite level Select program, Residency Academy and is gaining momentum in their push for a professional team through major sponsors like adidas and Chevy. We are excited to bring RUSH to Hong Kong, partnering with local organizations to open up better player development and playing opportunities.”
All throughout Hong Kong, soccer is played and loved by many. Currently Hong Kong shines as one of the world’s top international cities with a diverse population of some eight million inhabitants over a small land mass of 1,104 km2 (426 sq. mi). Once under the rule of Great Britain, the modern culture provides an exciting mix of both Eastern and Western cultures.
Hong Kong Rush F.C. will be devoted to Youth Development through a professional training environment locally. In addition, Hong Kong Rush will host quality playing opportunities and a clear pathway into all levels of international football.
Hong Kong Rush will begin training sessions in early May and have brought in former National Championship winning player and coach and former Kentucky Rush (U.S.A.) Technical Director, Joe Adams, to lead on field operations.
“This is an important step for our brand globally. We are not just adding a new club in a very interesting and neat area, but we are also partnering with the right individuals that will build a solid structured club and provide opportunities in a local and international way,” assures Rush Soccer Director of International Affairs Alex Robredo. “We are building a Rush bridge throughout the globe and growing both in quality and quantity. It is very exciting to be a part of it.”
