Rush Players Travel to Colorado for USSF Team Tryout

US Dev Academy

Two Rush Canada players – Jacob Dyck and Michael Whelan – are headed to Colorado to try out for the Rush USSF Development Academy Team.

Jacob and Michael both play on Coach Bogdan’s talented U20 team along with fellow teammate Daniel da Silva – who recently signed for Benfica’s U18 Team. Their tryouts will take place in Denver, Colorado from August 5th to August 17th, and all of their travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by Rush and its sponsors – Adidas and Chevrolet. If the players satisfy the stringent selection criteria of the Rush USSF Development Academy Program, they will be offered a full time scholarship and become members of the Academy Team. Selected players will stay with Rush Colorado for a full year, where they will by housed at the academy residency at which they will live, study, and train – all covered by Rush. Further, the boys will compete in the USSF Development Academy System which is the highest level of competition and player development in North America. They will be exposed to the attention of college coaches, pro scouts, and national team coaches alike. The Rush Development Academy has produced numerous professional players and national team members. It is a proven platform and pathway for any players hoping to achieve their dreams of playing professionally or attaining a university scholarship.

In a very short time, Rush Canada has developed numerous players and given them attractive global opportunities to pursue their passions. We also have many talented young players who will benefit greatly from the opportunity to be a part of the USSF Development Academy Team in the future years to come.

Find out more about the Development Academy here.

This opportunity is only open to Rush members.

Good luck boys!
