Rush Canada White 2003 Boys Win the EDP Cup

Rush Canada is extremely proud to announce that the Rush Canada 2003 Boys White team coached by Coach Alex Oran were crowned champions in the Gold division of the EDP Cup Fall Tournament Oct 7-8, 2017. EDP hosted the #1 tournament in the nation, for boys & girls teams from U9 – U15 with over 600 teams participating, playing at three locations across New Jersey, USA.

The Rush Canada team went undefeated in the tournament and competed against teams from New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The boy’s focus and determination helped them, overcome key injuries, allowing only 1 goal and making it to the finals.

Playing the finals against WEST-MONT UNITED SA PREMIER BLUE ’03, the boys were able to come back from a 1-0 deficit in the first half to tie the game in the second half with relentless attacking. After playing the full 60 minutes plus an extra 10 minutes of extra time, the score was still tied sending the game into penalty kicks.

With a large crowd gathering around the pitch to watch the intense penalties, the pressure did not phase Michael Fiqueli, Sebastian Lach and Jadon Anderson who scored for Rush. Then goalie Arsam Shahriary took over stopping 3 scoring attempts, sending both the boys and the crowd into euphoria!

Congratulations to all the boys and parents for all their hard work and support.
