Rush Canada 2003 White Team Boys Compete in BMO Champions Cup

Rush Canada is proud to announce the accomplishment of the Rush Canada 2003 Boys White team coached by Coach Alex Oran for the 2017/2018 outdoor season. The team went 16- 1-1 during the OASL season and finished in 2nd place in the Champions division. The team’s accomplishment was recognized by Bill Manning and the TFC group where they were invited to play in the BMO Champions Cup where the top 6 teams in Ontario were invited to play. The teams that were entered were from:

  • North Toronto Soccer Club (17-2-1); Toronto, ON – OPDL U-15 Charity Shield
    Champion
  • Oakville Soccer Club (13-3-4); Oakville, ON – OPDL U-15 Cup Champion & OPDL U-15
    West 1st place
  • Unionville Milliken Soccer Club (11-5-4); Markham, ON – OPDL U-15 Charity Shield

  • TFC Academy 2003 (17-0-3); North York, ON – OPDL U-17 Charity Shield Champion
  • Rush Canada Blue (17-0-1); Oakville, ON – OASL U-15 Championship 1st place

The Rush Canada white team played against Unionville in their first game and managed the game well and had many chances of coming out victorious but at the end had to settle for a 3-3 draw. 2 goals by Issac Martins and 1 goal and 2 assists by Michael Fiqueli. The teams next opponent was the TFC academy, playing against the top talent in the GTA it was both exciting and challenging, the boys gave it their all and played right to the end. I am proud of the efforts of all the boys this season and the fact of being recognized to be invited in this prestigious event is an accomplishment in its self.

Well done boys!
